The Forkert Difference

Why clients book with Sandy

From luxury travel and family vacations to safaris, honeymoons, and destination weddings, I handle every detail — flights, hotels, cruises, tours, dining, and more.

I.

Expert Planning

Full itinerary design and supplier booking included. For more involved itineraries, a planning fee may apply — always discussed with you upfront before any work begins.

II.

VIP Perks & Upgrades

Through trusted relationships with top hotels worldwide, I unlock benefits you won't get booking direct — complimentary breakfast for two, room upgrades on arrival, VIP treatment, spa credits, airport transfers, and more.

III.

Cruise & Land, Seamlessly Paired

Years of experience pairing a beautiful sailing with the land experiences before and after, so the whole trip flows as one journey instead of two separate bookings.

IV.

There When It Matters

Flight delays, missed connections, lost bags, last-minute changes — handled quickly and personally, so you can stay in the moment instead of on hold with an airline.

Whether you're after a peaceful solo retreat, a romantic getaway, an unforgettable family vacation, or a private group adventure, I bring the same level of luxury and personalized service to every trip.

Sandra Forkert “Relaxed luxury, with a sense of adventure.”
My Story

Sandra Forkert

Travel has been part of my life from the start — my father was an airline captain, and I grew up moving between England, Germany, and eventually Alaska before my family settled in California. For years I planned trips for friends and family simply because I loved it; now that lifelong habit has become a full-time travel business.

My style is relaxed luxury with a sense of adventure — thoughtful, fun, and effortlessly well-planned.

I care most about trips that feel personal instead of packaged: a beautiful sailing paired with a hidden local restaurant, a boutique hotel with real character, a celebration in wine country planned down to the last toast. Food and wine have been a passion for years — I've trained in cooking schools on land and at sea — and that same curiosity shapes every itinerary I build.

How It Works

From first message to final itinerary

01

Trip Discovery

It starts with a short inquiry — your dates, destination ideas, budget range, and the kind of experience you're after. That's enough for me to get a first read on your style and priorities and start shaping something that actually fits.

Let's Chat

Once I've reviewed it, we hop on a complimentary call to talk through the details — even if you're not sure yet where you want to go. We'll cover planning fees and options so there are no surprises later.

Custom Trip Design

From there, I build your itinerary: a curated proposal with real options to review, refined based on your feedback until every detail feels right — then I handle the bookings and stay on call through the trip itself.

Deborah W. · Carlsbad

When a European itinerary hit a flight delay, Sandy jumped in immediately to reroute the trip and track down misrouted luggage — even calling the airport at 5am so the vacation wasn't lost to logistics.

Dayton W. · Porto & Lisbon

Attentive from the first question through every modification along the way — the kind of advisor you keep coming back to for every trip.
